Hi ladies,

I'm 16+5 today. I've felt flutters on and off for a week or two. However this is only my first baby! Today I'm sure I felt baby moving/jiggling around and I think I could feel it with my hand too! Im 100% sure it wasn't wind! (Tmi!) Am I imagining things? Everyone I've asked thinks it's too early to feel first baby!! :(

Hoping it is, because it's very exciting!

I think you can feel them at any time hun. You know the difference between gas and baby flutters :) I didn't feel much till about 21 weeks and this is my third but my second I felt him really early on :)

Thank you, that's really reassuring to read! I'm glad I'm not going out of my mind! Glad I'm lucky to feel baby already :)

I think I started feeling them around 18 weeks and it's my first, but I have a friend who felt them at 16 weeks - so can be from quite early xxx

I think I started around 18/19 weeks but was never sure, but defo felt a kick at 21 weeks :)
Go with your gut instinct hun, women feel them at all stages :) xxx

Thanks so much ladies!! Not got a regular pattern yet but from what I've read it's normal as apparently I can't always feel baby at this stage?

With my first I felt movements at 14 weeks. It was very early but she was a wriggle xx

I started to feel the flutters and was certain it was flutter at 16 weeks. This is my first. Between 17-18 weeks I felt him with my hand, although I felt some movement I thought I might've been able to feel with my hand had it been there. It startled me as I was just sitting there relaxing at the end of work just trying to get the energy to head home. Between 18-20 weeks I was feeling proper kicks. By 20 weeks they were more frequent. Over Christmas there was a lot of movement and I was roughly 20 weeks then.

It really is different for everyone. There are so many factors. I'm really small, so that may be why I felt him earlier than average for my first. Although I wasn't expecting it because I have an anterior placenta, but that doesn't seem to be making a difference.

Enjoy. The last week or so he's become more regular with movements. I get to enjoy feeling him every morning. It's so nice to wake up to.

I felt my baby moving around 16 weeks too. This is my second baby. I am now 24 weeks and he moves like crazy. My husband can feel him now too. Since about 22 weeks.

I felt flutters really early with this one. At around 12 weeks, then nothing for a few days at a time. Now I occasionally feel a kick but then I'll feel nothing for a while again. It's really worrying! But think it's just because baby has so much space to move around and hide.

my little boy can be quite active but then today hes been really quiet i think hes moved backwards as i have killer back ache today! ive felt a few flutters but nothing as strong as before. guess he has plenty of room to wriggle in there x
