hiya,

As my baby will be just over 3 weeks early, i need a smaller sleeping bag as the 0-6months ones start at 10lbs. somone told be i could get one that starts at 7.5lbs from mothercare but they are extremely expensive does anyone know where else i could get one? i have been searching the internet all morning and cant find one :(

(i know i will probably still have to use blankets at first but would like to put him in a grobag as soon as he reaches 7.5lbs)

Oh and another quickie, do i need to wash all of the baby bedding inc cot sheets and hand knitted blankets ect in non bio as well?

Thanks :)

The sleeping bags I got from Primark are from 7.5lbs and so are the ones I looked at in Tesco! :D

I would personally wash everything in non bio but thats just me, i do it if it is new or second hand etc. :D

Me too!

Im on my 5th wash of the day :D although i have nowhere to dry anything so i have cot sheets draped over doors and little hats hanging on every door handle in the house (i did wipe them down first as well  )
ooooh i've just thought i'll have to strip the moses basket as well then!

Another question though if you dont mind, i bought a bedding bundle and in in theres the mattress sheet (elasticated sides) then 2 plain thin sheets and a fleecy thicker sheet.
Would it go mattress sheet, 1 thin sheet, baby, thin sheet, fleecy blanket? does that make sense? or would both thin sheets AND fleecy sheet go on baby?
was just planning on using the grobags but now thats not an option at first so im quickly trying to wise up!!

Thanks xx

You need to make sure with the sleeping bags that baby cannot wriggle down in them. So make sure the side clasps and fastenings are snug. I like the Next ones as they have a double popper on the ones up to 6 months. Makes them a more snug fit in the early weeks and then you don't do them up once baby gets bigger. Next sleeping bags are £16 and are lovely.

As for laundry, yes, I'd wash everything in non bio till baby is older. I always use non bio Fairy anyways so will continue to use it even now our LO is older.
