Baby showers

Sounds fab twinkle can't wait for mine now.

I had one organised by my friend it was lovely, lots of the games mentioned and some food.
She also made me carry a doll around the whole time and I had to change the babies bum blind folded and she did a quiz where she had asked my oh lots of questions about the baby eg what would I most like her to inherit from me and there was 3 options and our answers had to match. We also asked everyone to bring a baby photo and did a guess who the baby is.

I recently organised my best friends baby shower and we did similar games and also asked all the guests bring a book, the book had to represent them in some way so if you were a fireman you could have brought a fireman Sam book. The mum to be then had to guess which guest brought which book! I loved that game, baby then has a large book collection and when she reads each book she will think of the person who bought it :)

These ideas all sound lovely! I didn't have a baby shower with my first son, but my lovely friend is organising one for me this time which I'm really excited about, I think they are a really nice way for all the ladies to get together before you end up knee deep in nappies living in your pyjamas for several weeks! Mine will be quite low key, just a group of us going for afternoon tea in a local post hotel, they let you have a private dining room if there's a group of you. I don't know if my friends organising any games or anything but I'd just be happy with cakes and a gossip :) the ones who want it can have champagne; obviously not me though lol. My mum and nanna are going too so it's a nice way to get all the generations involved.

I have sent a message to everyone going however to say I don't want any presents, I think for a first baby its lovely for people to bring presents but with this being our second (and another boy as well) there is really nothing we need or want, so I just want it to be the girls getting together rather than the present/'shower' part :)
