Baby Showers?

Just wondered if anyone can tell me what happens at a Baby Shower?
I've got some friends throwing me a "surprise" one tomorrow and I don't know If I have to do anything or what to expect. Is it just like an afternoon tea?.
Unfortunately I ruined the surprise for myself because I kept asking my mam why she was so insistent on me going over to hers tomorrow and she had to spill the beans in the end.

i guess it depends on your friends, usually you just get loads of presents and talk about babies, have some thing to eat kinda thing

It's all your buddies getting together and celebrating your bump! You should get loads of pressies too and they'll have decorated wherever it's being held, with baby stuff and ribbons and things

I've experienced a couple of baby showers while growing up in USA... usually its just like a girlie party.. U play fun games (all on topics of babies) and also open presents u get off everyone.. while eating and socialising.. they are fun things to go ... wish i would get one

You play baby shower games, have some snakcs and open presents then in between talk with all your friends its lovely
