my 4 week olds poo this week has been green.still occasionally yellow. shes bottle fed (SMA) has a poo once a day..does this sound normal or something to worry about? i remember them saying something about green poo being bad in the hospital

Hi I can't advise as I don't know the answer but I also remember them saying that green poop wasn't ideal but I don't know why. Have you tried some cooled boiled water to see if that helps her poor more if you think she's clogged up?x

My daughters poos green and has been mainly since she was put on formula. My hv said as long as it's soft it's fine as I was worried I asked two different hv and they both said the same. And as far as I know once a day is perfectly fine hun. Xxx

I think the SMA could be the culprit. My daughter was on SMA and she had green poops!

My HV used to say that if poop was green that meant they hadn't been winded properly! not sure if it's true, but my son had colic and was always having belly aches and hard to wind! and he often had green poop = altho I put that down to being on 'comfort' milk!

Same, it's quite thick too! My son didn't even poop daily but every other day.. And the day he didn't poop he was proper pissed off and unsettled.. We switched to hip.. Although don't get used to the ready milks.. My son later once in a routine refused the powdered milk and venturing out to find the cartons has been challenging since, besides even at 2 years old he point blank wants that over normal milk -.-'
