Baby name consultancy?

Hi everyone,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and can't wait to start choosing names! A friend of mine told me about www.BabyNameConsultancy.co.uk and I think it looks like a great idea, so I was just wondering if anybody here had used anything similar?

Ok, so my shortlist so far:

Alex, Calen, Oakley
~or~
Rosemarie, Lily and Oceana.

I like Alex and Lily.

I'm not sure about paying for a naming consultation. I suppose it would be good if you were totally stuck for a name. I think I would rather pick a name with my OH.

Alex, Rosemarie and Lily are all very nice. I'm sorry, but I'm not at all keen on Oakley (it reminds me of 'Annie get your Gun' and sounds like a surname to me) or Oceana (which is the name of a nightclub round these parts).

I find the consultancy thing a bit bizairee..it is one of the fun parts of having a baby not a stress, /You do have 9 months to think about it.

I'm not into the consultancy thing at all, just another money making scheme really. It is a personal thing and as cloud9 said, we have 9 months to think about it. It's more fun doing it yourself x

I prefer Lily and Alex out of the names you've chosen.

I agree that the baby naming consultancy sounds a bit of a rip off. I don't see how you'd get any better advice than you'd get from your friends.

I think I'd rather save my money and buy a book of baby names.
