Hi all,

I’m 25 weeks and in the last few days, baby has been so active it’s ridiculous, keeping me awake at night and the movements feel a little different to usual. I feel like I’ve fjnally ‘popped’ so not sure if this has anything to do with it. I suffer from anxiety and keep meaning to ring the midwife but should I be worried? Or am I just more in tune with it all and as it’s growing I feel them more?

So much is talked about decreased movement but now I’m stressing that I am going the other way :(

Thanks

I think after you reach 24 weeks baby has pretty much everything they need so they start to focus on putting weight on. So you’ll probably get more and more movement the further along you get, my problem this time around has been quieter days which at 25 weeks is still totally fine.
My first pregnancy I don’t think I had more than 10 minutes where she wasn’t wriggling inside me, This t8mecaround baby has been much quieter and it’s mase me very anxious. I’m almost 34 weeks now and definitely notice a pattern in movements. But try not to worry cause chances are you just have a very wriggly baby :) and that’s lovely.

I rang midwife as I had a panic attack about it..honestly! She said it was fine and indicationnof healthy baby if I could feel it moving etc. I’m not totally convinced but i can’t decide if I’ve just read too much stuff about the cord being stuck around baby neck which can increase movements due to distress or if it’s nothing!

I’m on half term now so if I’m not happy early next week then I might just go in and beg for a scan to check it’s all ok
