i am going friday! we will have to compair notes

I went when Isabelle was 9 weeks for a 6 week course and it was great. I would highly recommend it (and I do to everyone I meet thats just ahd a baby!) and Isabelle loved it. It does however tend to be easier when your LO's are smaller as they like to try and wriggle away when they're a bit bigger!

Is it one run by the HV's or a private one? Mine was the HV assistant and she was lovely. I met some really nice people there too and one of them is now a good friend and we take our LO's swimming every week!

Enjoy it!

Start mine on Monday with Otis so let me know how you guys get on!

I've been massaging Thea since she was born (im a trained Holistic Therapist) Its really really good for your babies. A nice massage after a bath and Thea sleeps soundly. She has been sleeping all the way through the night since she was 2 weeks old.

We went to a 6 or 8 week course, can't remember now. It was lovely. We haven't kept it up though but it was lovely doing the course with all the other little babies. Our LO really enjoyed it.

i've got weeks till my baby massage classes. are there books on it? is it possible to learn the basics from them? im really looking forward to learning how :)

I had mine today.... to be honest i am bit disappointed i didnt get on an earlier class as i think Ellis was a bit old for it.

He was more interested in the tiny babies crying etc and kept rolling on to his belly to see them while i was trying to massage him.... if he wasnt rolling he was eating his feet while i was trying to grab them!!!

I will go back though cos its something to do xxxxxxx

We got on fine. Arianna liked it appart from the toe part - she obviously has tickly feet like her Mummy!!

The only thing is do you get nice oils as the oil we were given is veg oil with something else in it and she came home smelling like a chippy!!

Never done it but it's meant to be really good for babies. I want to with the next one. :)

Anyone know where you find out about them as it sounds like it's best to book in advance?

Claire, our HV runs the class at the clinic and she posted letters out about it - maybe ask at your surgery.

dito, but the hv who does the course in my area is leaving soon, so the will no longer be able to offer it.

check at your surgery. if they don't do it i would be suprised if they didn't have leaflets for local classes.

Yes I go to a HV's run course as well, I've only been to the first of 3 sessions and enjoying it so far. I make sure to massage Otis every night after his bath - hoping it will aid in making him sleep through the night as he is still waking twice a night :? !
Re oils, since Otis was born I've been using the following oil from Weleda - it's all natural stuff so won't harm your LO or block their pores!
