Baby Jacob 4/8/12

Thanks, Jacob has been discharged from neo-natal today, I still have to take him to the children's ward for checks but no more weekly home visits :-) je's currently 7lbs 1oz too :-) x x

Wow hasn't he done well in so little time! U must be so proud and relieved. Xxx

He is absolutely gorgeous sproglett congratulations :-)
I hope you don't mind my nosey questions but do they think you delivered him so early because of the blood problem ? And was he under special care because he was so early or because of the ABO? Reason I ask is I'm 35 weeks and have been told I have antibodies c and e which fight the babies blood cells and cause jaundice etc just like your wee Jacob and I'm pretty nervous about what problems that could potentially cause :-(

Hey I don't mind the questions at all, they didn't say why I delivered early but my opinion was it was because of the blood problem, the only reason he was on neonatal was because of his bloods yes, he was a good birth weight and they had no other concerns. The hospital were amazing and the neonatal unit were really clued up, the treatment they did for Jacob was phototherapy, he was close to the stage of blood transfusion, which is scary but at least they can do something to help even if the problem is really bad. Fingers crossed for you, anything else I can help with? X x

Tomorrow's a busy day, got baby massage at 10:15 till 12, then going to Birmingham children's hospital for a follow up scan on Jacobs heart and artery.

Wish us luck x x
