After being told baby's growth had slowed, I was induced on Sunday...

Contractions started immediately after my waters were broken, I didn't need pessary or drip.

Went to delivery suite and begged for an epidural but was settle with diamorphine until the anaesthetist arrived. Epidural was a bloody godsend, highly recommended! Found to be fully dilated within a few hours but not allowed to push for 2 hours... then contractions stopped and there was a teeny bit of drama with baby's heart rate dropping, but I managed to push him out after forceps were threatened and my legs in stirrups! Second degree tear and slightly blue baby, but we are home now and he is tiny and completely gorgeous.
