Good evening all... hope you are well. Just wondering how often your baby gets the hiccups? Mine seems to get them quite often - at the moment between 1 and 2 times a day!!! Is this too much?? :? :? :?
Also, had a call from the doctor today... I have a UTI which I am now on antibiotics for the next 7 days.... that would explain the backache then!

My LO has hiccups a couple of times a day! Hiccups are a good sign that baby is maturing so I dont think they can do it too much!!

Boo on the UTI!! :(

Generally when awake he/she is hiccupping! It happens all the time several times a day. Drives me bonkers!
Hope the UTI clears up quick.

:D Pippy always gets them between 1am-2am in the morning and they last 30+mins!!!! Awwww I feel so sorry for her when she gets them it makes me feel all guilty...my OH thinks its funny her being all greedy and drinking the nasty water he thinks thats why I always need the wee all the time because shes drinking the water and making me need to go!

The hiccups are the baby practising breathing and swallowing the fluid around them (apprently) so its a good sign that baby is getting their lungs ready for when they are born x

I never noticed any, what do they feel like?

:D Annoying! LOL

Its just like a repetitive kicking type feeling......like a light kick but it keeps happening :)

Evie gets hiccups a lot too... Sometimes she'll go a few days without getting them, other times she'll have a run of about 4 days getting them once or twice a day!

I think you feel them more depending on LOs position too.

Hope your UTI clears up too  x

My little boy has hiccups between 2 and 4 times a day and they last for ages. I can see my tummy wobble with every one which is quite amusing
Hope your UTI clears up soon

when i realised it was hiccups that i was feeling, i realised that baby always had them! probably daily for a good hour or so.

Ohhhh i wanna butt in now, i can't stay away from you ladies.

Benjamin had hiccups about 5-6 times a day and it used to drive me crazy that he hiccuped soooooo much.
You know now he is here, all he does is hiccup, its sooooo strange, after every feed he is guarenteed to get the hiccups. But because he is that used to have them he isn't phased at all.

Bumps fairly wriggly but he does seem to get hiccups on a near daily basis
Drives me bonkers when I'm trying to rest.

Eleanor also got hiccups a lot before she was born....and she's hiccupping right now. She does just about after ever feed. Its cute as she sounds like a squeaky toy. Doesnt seem to bother her either - but I do feel sorry for her as I hate getting hiccups myself.

Mine has them at least once a day and sometimes they go on for ages!!
Hope the UTI clears up soon, their evil things!

I was curious whether my LO was hiccupping too much as well. I first noticed it about five weeeks ago and since then it has been two or three times a day. Sometimes when something shocks the baby, like I'm woken up by the telephone, but usually just spontaneous hiccups which go on for 10mins or so. I feel as though I should try holding my breath or drinking from the other side of the cup or something, just to try and help!

Is nice to hear from others that this is a good sign, practising breathing or what not. xx

Jack also had them loads when I was pregnant, and does now too usually after a feed. It's quite cute but he doesn't even change his expression whe he has them so I don't think he's bothered! :)
