Well my boyfriend just got home and listened to the babies heart beat through the dropper (angel) and i have found the heart beat by my bikini line just to the right. But my boyfriend said that might be you? now this has got me worried. The heart beat is faster than mine but not really really fast.

time it and if is between 120 and h160 then it is bubba, which i think it is anyway hun:)

Find your pulse in your neck at same time, and compare it, babys heart beat will be much faster than the pulse you can feel for your heart beat.

Its lovely when you hear it, I love my doppler, its so reasurring. Dont use it as much now I can feel bubba squirming away!!

Let us know how you get on xx

Andrew and i have been playing with it and the beat i found was only 80 beats a min so that cannot be the baby, im so confused :| :| :|

Is it to soon do you think? What was the beat i was listening too?

Are you sure it was only 80? Its not always easy to tell at home, when your midwife uses one its alot more reliable as she knows what she's listening for! Try not to worry :)

Hiya yes was about 80 tried a few times. Maybe it was the baby?? anyone else had this problem?

Alot of us have mistaken the lower right as the baby, i think its the placenta or something, but defo not baby. Try starting at belly button snd go slowly down and then slowly across. It took me ages to find it but i found it straight away with a full bladder!! Was amazed! Someone recommended full bladder on a previous post of mine and it worked!
I hope u find it soon hun, it still may just be too early. my bubs was really deep down in my scan she had to push so deep in my tum to see it properly!

Jayceesmumma is quite right, the easiest sound to find is the sound of your own pulse (maternal blood flow), I was also confused by this for a while!

You will 'know' when you have found baby's HB as it sounds very different to this and it shouldn't be far away from where you are looking.

Just remember that LO's heart is teeny weeny so sometimes its hard to find!

Good luck!

Your heartbeat will be a lot slower than the babys, if you put the doppler on your chest you will hear your own, which is totally diferent to the babies. Also the pacenta is the one that is fast but goes........................
woosh..woosh..woosh, the babies is the one that sound more like a beat. Placenta is a windy wooshy sound (if that makes sense!!) :rotfl:

Haha yeah its a wooshy sound! like windy! I get what u mean hun! When u do find it ur like 'OooooooooOOOOooohhh right!!' lol!
Dont worry ull hear it soon enough!

Thanks everyone. Cannot find it yet but will keep trying!!!

my m/w told me she might not be able to find it at 15 weeks so don't worry

Yipee we found it today! It was much lower down than expected! is so nice to hear!
