hey all,
Will the baby be in the same room as u or will u put them in the nursery to sleep ? which is better having them in with u or not ? what u alll think thanks x

Our baby boy will be with us until he is 6months old... i dont want the risk of me being so tired and not hearing him in the night... or something worse... My friend had a house fire and her girl was in the nursery age 2months and she couldnt get to her... lost her little girl...

yeah i mean alot of things we base bringing our kids up on are peoples losses... but my mum never had me in the room with her and i think i turned out ok... its all down to yourself and your partner... u never know you might want a bed in the nursery instead haha... xx

He wasn't in his cot at the time, he was asleep on the sofa with my SIL. When she had him, she became kind of OCD with cleaning and sterilising etc. and would stay up til like 4am then get up with him in the morning so blames herself as she was so tired.

I suppose its some comfort to know that he wasn't in his cot and knowing I wont let them sleep with me will prevent it happening the same way it did with him. x

Very true, you never know what may happen to you and I'm sure it's perfectly safe x

For at least the first few months the baby will be in our room so we can keep a close eye on her. I've never heard anyone say that their baby slept in the nursery to start off with. x

seeing as ive only got a one bed flat she will be in with me but even if she did have her won room shed be in with me until she went into her cot x

The guidelines are that they are in a cot in your room for the first 6 months - that's what we are doing

Oh wow! I was thinking that I would put Pickle in a moses basket by my side of the bed until he is 6 weeks old or so and then in the nursery, as its literally 10 steps away from my side of the bed. But I bet when he arrives I'll want him to stay in longer.

Well with my son, I was going to keep him with us for a few months, but after 6 weeks of waking at every little grunt, sniff and breath, I had to move him in to his own room for my own sanity!! I would imagine it will be the same for this little chap too!!
