Still upsets me when i go round and see the scars....
(it was in his jaw & throat - they re-built his jaw using bone from his arm, and took skin grafts from his arm too)

Hi hun, my mum had breast cancer and had all treatment it is horrendous to watch a family member go thru it. We lost a close friend on 23rd Dec 05 to cancer the day b4 my bday, it was heartbreaking.

Thoughts are with you

Thanks hun!!
Its just one of those things you don't expect to go through.
Esp not my dad, cos he's like the rock of the family, never gets a cold etc kind of thing!!!

Think its great that companies like virgin are doing CD's for charity esp mens cancer, cos they're so against going to the doctors!!!

Think its a geat title "bollocks to cancer". its a horrible disease and has affected far too many members of my family, and taken away too many people from me. Hope your dad beats it!!!!

Never really experieced it up close before. My nan died of lung cancer in 2001 but she was 74 and had chain smoked since she was 13! My dad was diagnosed on the 13th of july this year with a grade 4 brain tumor. Had his op last week and he is having treatment starting in a couple of weeks. They said it should slow it down a bit. I don't really know what to do. I just feel so sorry for him, he is only 52. Such a devastating diagnosis.

 Kellie and hayley

My stepdad (who has been like a dad to me since I was 3) was diagnosed with a very rare form of bone cancer last year.
They caught it really early but the prognosis was still quite bad.

He's had chemo for 6 months and a stem cell transplant, and now if you looked at him you would never even know he'd been ill. His hair has even grown back will much less grey in it!

He still has to go back every month, then every 3 months, then every 6 months etc. but fingers crossed he's at least seen it off for a few years.

Kellie: They can do great things treatment wise nowadays, I hope everything turns out OK for you, feel free to pm if you have any questions or want to talk about it.

If I had one wish Id remove all types of Cancer/Leaukemia from the world! It has probably effected all of us in one way or another, My best friend died at 25.
Good luck to allxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Luckily for my dad he was bald anyways!!! ha ha!!
Its so hard to keep smiling sometimes, when he's having a bad day especially.
Kellie, i completely know how you feel, its so devastating, and like i said before its my dad, he's the strong one!!

They found out this time last year, right before mine and DH's wedding! They kept it a secret until after the wedding, i have no idea how they made it through the day, Dad didn't make a speech, which at the time really upset me... but when they told us when we got back from our honeymoon it made sense why he didn't! And i got all upset cos i didn't give him a kiss when he handed me over to G!

Love theidea of the cd..... And its a shame that such a horrible thing affects so many different people!!

love to you all

Love to you all...
Lost a friend to the horrible C in Decembr, he was 34 and left behind two small kiddies, watched him go from a big handsome man to a frail wheelchair bound man and it broke my heart...I miss him so much, he never stopped smiling even when things were bad

If I have a boy, his middle name will be David after my brave handsome friend, I will never ever forget him

Love the title of the CD!!!! xxx
