***August 2016 Mummies***

Some websites tell me the due date is 29th of July but I have long cycles and I read that 1st pregnancies tend to arrive a little bit later. One site told me 3rd of August and I think I will stick to this date for now so you can add me to the August ladies

I've got a scan today (I'm 5+2) to see if everything's ok (having mild cramping and spotting). Fingers crossed everything's ok. I know we're unlikely to see much though...

ivyjanelily - I hope your scan goes well and I hope that you will share the love for us with a cheeky picture later? I am sure you will be fine love.

How is everyone feeling?? I am already getting morning nausea - I have to eat breakfast as soon as I wake up because otherwise I reckon I would start throwing up already. Same happened with my daughter.

I have my first midwife appointment next Wednesday at 1pm which is mega exciting too! I am not sure what they do for the first one but it isn't my booking appointment because that is done at the hospital in our area and this is just at the doctor's surgery! Last time they just did an over the phone consultation.

Eeeek ladies I am so ecstatic for this! xx

Apart from the cramps, not feeling 'pregnant' yet. Sore boobs, yes, but I always get them around AF time anyway. No sickness yet, and strangely I want to feel sick as it would reassure me! I am cautiously excited though

Good luck with your scan ivyjanelily sore boobs, cramps and tired but nothing to write home about. I took another test this morning to reassure myself and the pregnant line appeared before the test line!!! Much much darker as well so that's settled me a bit!! Xx

DeeDee I had to self refer to the local hospital/antenatal unit, and their website said I wouldn't hear anything for a few weeks, which was a bit vague! But because of the spotting I actually booked a gp appointment anyway. As it's my first I'm a bit lost at what happens (appointment-wise) in the first 12 weeks!

It's my first too! Very exciting. Going to be hard over xmas. Need to think of excuses why I'm not drinking.

Had the scan, couldn't see anything so took bloods to check hcg levels, got to go back on Sunday. Because I have long cycles and only tested faintly positive 6 days ago (stronger 3 days ago) it's likely I'm not 5+2 but maybe 4+4 ish? Hence the no show. Either that or the 4 tests I took are wrong!

It sounds like it's just too early ivyjanelily - it should be more conclusive on Sunday. Must have been disappointing for you all the same xx

Hi guys, I got my BFP today and looking likewill be due 9th August.

Ivy were in the same position. Very close date wise too. I am 4+3 and have no clue either.
I phoned my docs today though and booked an appt for next Friday. No point waiting. The receptionist didn't ask why I needed an appt so hopefully I've done right. Like you I have no clue what to do in the 1st 12weeks!

Hey Ladies!
Feeling nauseous from time to time but nothing too bad at the moment. Super sore boobs though and like Deedee my skin is terrible!

I filled a self referral online for the closest Maternity service to my place the day we found out. They said they would contact me in the next 5 working days and they did
I already have my 1st midwife and 1st scan appointments: the 29th of December and the scan for the 12th of January, we can't wait!!! ))
