Princess_h's post has got me thinking.

I have severe asthma and have had all my life. I've been hospitalised countless times and narrowly escaped intensive care the past few times.

Have any of you asthmatics out there been advised against a natural delivery?

My asthma can be excercise induced, so I'm wondering if I will be allowed to delivery naturally or not.

Any views welcome!

do you have severe asthma or what i call occasional asthma?

I had server when I was younger which was controled by inhalers and steroids.

BUT in pregnancy my athsma worsend and I had a lot of attacks but still was never adviced against birth naturally.

I have asthma too but was told I could have a natural birth but to take my ventolin with me.
Best to ask your doctor and see what he/she says.
Good luck!

im severly asthmatic too and was able to deliver naturally..

so long as you keep the midwifes informed if you feel any chest tightings or anything you should be fine!
