I like the name. Yes it can remind people (usually our generation to be honest) of an older man as it is an "older" name. However, when I read the title of post, I actually immediately thought of Arthur in Eastenders and he is by no means an "Old Man" xx
My partner and I have decided on Arthur George if our little one is a boy! I never thought I'd go for such an 'old fashioned' name, but I think it's quite cute! We'll see once he/she makes an appearance!
I think its lovely! Its unusual to me rather than 'old' and really stands out as original. I much prefer this to Jack which is another 'old' name its just that this has been made popular.
I quite like it as a first name, but because it is well known historically it sums up a strong mental image and if the child doesn't fit that mental image then it's awful (if that makes sense).
If you think your hubby would suit the name Arthur, then the child has a better chance
As a middle name, i don't like it at all. No matter what name i randomly select to put before it, it's sounds odd but i don't suppose it really matters for a middle name
