hey well im 31 weeks preg, and basically will be going bdck to work after 9 months maternity leave, i do 37.5 hours a week, my partner the same.....we have got the £190 preg grant for healthy eating, i was wondering what else we are entitled to....i know about the child benefit £80 a month...but can i get working tax credits? and how much? i earn a reasonable amount whereas my partner earns average if that........im worried sick as childcare...costs a bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks for advice!xxx

Hey, I am entitled to tax credits, I workthe same amount of hours as you but am on a very low income so get quite good help (£92 a week!) but not sure what you'd be entitled to with a better income. It will be working and child tax credits you're entitled to. X

thanks for the advice!!! how did u go about finding that out? is urs based on ur partners too? and how long did it take? am i too early to apply,,,,, i used the calculator thing and im confused by it!!! it only gives me child tax credits?xx

u can claim if ur over 25 anyway,
if ur household income is less than £55k
but only if ur under 25 if u have a child benefit reference no, which isnt until there born,

my n hubby income is 35k (17 1/2 k each for 37 1/2 hrs per wk) but cos its based on april 09/10 will get £21 per week, but april 10/11 we will get more cos of being on maternilty pay,

the figure based on the internet they told me is wht they will give u until the end of this financial year so begining of april, i divided that figure they gave u by the weeks from now to then and got about the same figure as that they quoted me on the phone of £21 per week, ours will also increase wen shes in childcare and we are paying that out,

hope that helps a bit!

x
