Argh make him sleep!

Since Damien started falling asleep at 8pm the last few days, he has decded to wake up during the night whenever he damn well pleases, and it's starting to really take it's toll on me. I'm knackered as it is. His waking up times have been getting earlier and earlier, and this morning I was being greeted at 5:30am. Not an acceptable hour to wake in my book! He doesn't even go to bed early, so why the heck does he get up so early?!

I tried to ignore him for half hour but OH got in a mood so I picked him up and put him in bed with us. Then Damien started crying and OH got in a mood again, so we're relegated downstairs. Trying to ignore Damien obviously won't work of OH is in the room!

Any tips for getting them to stay in bed longer, other than bounding and gagging

awww hun i had the same problem with sophie, it was just a spell she seemed to go through, mind ya over last couple days she seems tobe getting up at 630 am
if he has a bottle in the morning u could try giving him a drink in his bed and see if he settles alittle bit longer hun

He doesnt and OH just moans about the noise and 'making him wake up early for work' I'll have to keep trying though, I can't just let him rule the morning!

I was happier wehn he went to bed at 9/9:30pm, he used to sleep till 8am at least then!

Ella was up at 5.10am this morning, but then she did go bed at 6.40pm. When she's up for the day, she's up. No stopping her!!

Harley woke at 6am i just propped a bottle up for him he fell back to sleep while drinking it.
or he has a musical that goes of when he makes a nose. that sends him back of to sleep

COREY HAS DONE THAT ALOT BUT I JUST POP IN THE DUMMY WITH BONJELA AND IT MOSTLY HELPS HIM SETTLE BACK OR I TAKE HIM INTO OUR BED AND I DONT SPEAK TO HIM OR LAUGH WITH HIM SO HE KNOWS I MEAN BUSSINESS AND THAT IT IS NOT TIME TO WAKEN, THANKFULLY NOW HIS ROUTINE IS OK FOR THE NITE MORNING HE WAKENS AT 7.15 EVERY MORNING BUT I CANT COMPLAIN COS HE GOES TO BED AT 8 MOST EVENINGS, I SUPPOSE U COULD TRY PUTTING HIM TO BED AT 9 AGAIN AND HOPE FOR THE BEST. GOOD LUCK HONEY. X

 

cheers hun, the dummy used to work, and if I put him in our bed he either kicks me in the stomach (not wise at the moment) or crawls over DF who moans at him.

DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON OH, HE NEVER EVER HAD TO GET UP WITH COREY DURING THE NITE COS I WAS BREAST FEEDING, AND HE USED TO MOAN THEN COS HE WAS TIRED FOR WORK SO NOW ID KICK HIS ASS IF HE MOANED ABOUT COREY WAKENING HIM HA HA, I HAVE COREY IN A SLEEPING BAG SO HE CANT KICK ME BUT I KNOW WHAT U MEAN BY THE HPERNESS, I HEARD BANGS COMING FROM MY ROOM THE OTHER NITE AND WENT UP TO CHECK ON COREY AND HE HAD TURNED HIMSELF ROUND HORIZONTAL IN HIS COT AND KEPT BANGING HIS HEAD AND FEET OFF THE BARS,

 

LOL I hear that all night when I'm downstairs too, I used to swear it was a ghost till I realised it was Damien bashing his head and arms against the sides

ud wonder how it doesnt wake them, im back at work too its sooo pants, ONLY IN ONE DAY A WEEK AT THE MIN JUST TO FAZE BACK IN GRADUALLY BUT IT IS STILL SO PANTS, SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS BUT I HAVE TO USE THEM FOR MY COMP SYSTEM AND FORGOT TO TAKE THEM BACK OFF LOL, ITS NEARLY HOME TIME YIPEEE.

Liam wakes and we give him a bottle then he usually rolls around moaning for about 40 mins then i give him another bottle (he only drinks 4oz at a time) and then he goes off until around 7.

Earplugs for your OH! Wouldn't have got this far without them! That way you can dose while they make a noise (as long as babe isn't too loud) and sometimes they go back to sleep again after half an hour or so. Worth a go!
