Sprog has his first jabs today.

Does anyone have any words of wisdom? I'm more nervous than I would be if it was me being injected...

Chances are you'll be more bothered than him, it's how it went with us! I would have Calpol to hand just in case - we used 1 dose with her first lot (though think she was more unsettled than unwell after them - she slept for 4 hours that afternoon!) and didn't use any after the second lot as she was her usual chirpy self. He'll be just fine

Yeah he will probably cope better than you :D
My LO wasnt fazed by her 1st jabs, it was her 3rd set that troubled her for a day or two :(

We give Calpol about 30 mins before.

Good luck. Luke has his 3rd lot tomorrow after them being cancelled last week.

I cried with Angel's 1st, and 2nd! Lol. I didn't have Calpol at the time so i got given a prescription for it! Tips for anyone who doesn't have it either! Lol. Coz it was free!
Angel has her 3rd next week, and i don't think OH can make it! He has to hold her for me!

Ditto the Calpol about half hour before.

I got MIL to hold EVie but she only yelled for two seconds.

They knocked her out though! She slept for about 3 days and then was grotty for a couple of days... round two for us this week :(

We didn't use Calpol at all before or after. I asked the nurses what possible side effects and they said a bit grizzly and a possible slight temp raise but that was about it.

It was 2 jabs, one in each leg at the same time and he yelled like hell for a minute after and cried and then was all smiles again.

As he didn't have any temp change and was only a bit grizzly I didn't worry about Calpol at all. Just lots of cuddles and a bit of extra sleep time.

Logan had a bit of a temperature on the evening after his first jabs.

He had his second one's yesterday afternoon and has been really unhappy all day today and wanting lots of food and cuddles.

I hope yours go better
