Are you spiritual?

By the way I voted Yes, I believe in God and I have a relationship with him.

I'm finding religion a real toughy at the moment! I certainly don't believe in God as worshipped by christianity etc, and feel more affinity with paganism. Paganism had been so demonised by the church, whilst using their symbolism and celebrations and adapting them for their use
that said,I don't know enough to argue the theology around all the different religions, so my new years resolution is to learn more!

depends how you define spiritual, I have a belief but not in the christianity sense,

i believe that god created things etc but have nothing to do with religion.

I am spiritual and believe in a there's so much more then meets the eye.

Is there a god?
Someone had to create this earth and all living things but who I dont know?

I dont believe in god at all.
Something must have created the earth but what that was I have nooo idea.

Nope. I don't really care if there is some sort of God or not, because I choose not to abase myself to any form of higher power, as I believe it cause more difficulty than otherwise :D
If there is a God, and s/he hauls me up once I've popped it, and goes "Thou are damned!" I'll tell it exactly why I chose my path, and I'm sure if it is a kind rational deity,it'll understand :)

:rotfl: Genius answer ZS!

I tend to say that I have faith (no pun intended) rather than considering myself religious. Yet I do also say I am a Christian - but I have my own set of beliefs based on Christianity but with many differences.

:rotfl: :rotfl: Well it will, I mean, all due respect to those who are religious and all, but look at the trouble organised religion has caused...both on a personal and world wide level. Either a lot of people are misinterpreting their God very badly, or their God is a prat.(edit: I'm talking about the people who believe they are called upon by their chosen deity to start wars etc.George Bush, I'm talking to you) And if the latter, I do not wish to worship it. Even if it meant eternal damnation. Which in itself i find a very dodgy concept.

I totally agree, religion has become nasty in many parts and people are dramatising many parts of the bible.
I was utterly shocked at what I watched the other night about these supposedly religious people saying all fags are going to hell and were picketing soldiers funerals . http://www.godhatesfags.com/

Shameful to say the least.

Oh yes, Fred Phelps and his incestuous little family. They're fabulous, they really are. Like I said, if there's a God that approves of that, I want nothing to do with it

That family sicken me!

The God I believe in doesn't believe in damnation to hell on the basis of being a non-believer so you'll be ok in my eyes ZS :D hehe.

I think it's why i've never found a church i like... i tend to disgree a lot... lol.

I am definately spiritual i belive in most things and i excites me

I know! You're totally right. That's why I refuse to be 'religious'. I want to be spiritual, instead. I don't want to follow man-made doctrine, man-made practices and beliefs. I want to have my very own personal relationship with God.

I was brought up catholic by a non religious family, church on special occasions only.

I do not follow the religion I was brought into. I don't follow anything. I listen to myself and my own mind, I don't need to pray to any higher being for reassurance in my life, fate determines everything in my eyes. Whatever will be, will be.

I have a spiritual side but i do not believe in god and do not follow religeon.

I voted no, I don't believe in god or worship any god.

I believe in evolution. I'm atheist/humanist if anything.

:D
