OK im officially confused.

I was after getting Oran a fwd facing car seat for in a few months so was looking at the Maxi Cosi Tobi cause I thought his was for up to 20lb approx or 9 months.....looked on the box of his (Mamas & Papas Primo Viaggio SIP) and it says to approx 13kg or 12-15 months. Now the problem is Orans feet are already sitting right on the end of the seat, when the seat is in the car the end of it rests againts the back of the seat, so basically orans feet rest against the seat so I figured, well maybe there is a way it converts in to forward facing, but no, it states in the manual not to fit it fwd facing under any circumstances. I cant understand how he can sit in it till he is 1 or over, if he feet already nearly hang of the end and touch the back of the seat as it would mean bending his knees and scrunching his legs up..................Im officially scratching my head, anyone else got this seat and can help?

I haven't got a clue hun :?
Mayb go into the shop you brought it from and ask them :)

I had that problem with Keeley she got too long for her rear facing seat but i just got her a forward facing one as i heard they can go in them once they can sit up unaided for 20 minutes

Good luck

Yeah I suppose can only go ask. Its a bit of a treck to the M&P store though and seen as B's car still busted he is nicking mine to go to work in cause he is to lazy to get the train (then moanin as it costs more petrol than his  ) so when I have it back, I guess Ill have to take a treck over!

Stupid bloody car seats

I have that car seat and i know what you mean.. although Jack fits in perfect at moment not sure how he would at 12 months - have you got one of those base units - http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product-2788090/type-i/

since I got mine it seems like more room - not sure how but maybe the position?

also you can adjust the seat by pulling a grey lever on the back of it, have you tried that?

If not then I def think i trip to M&P would help

Could just be a problem with the design, we had this seat for Jonah and had the same problem. He was sitting with his little legs all bent and it can't be good....
We went to Halfords and they basically said he had out grown it so we got a new one that has lasted til now. Can't remember what type it is without going out to look but it reclines right back whick is good for littler babies.

You can call them, they are quite helpful. I had to call them this morning, 0845 268 2000.

I am going to have the same problem as I have the same seat and Thomas will be outgrowing it in the leg area in a few months

i have the same thing with D's but its a graco..he is been weighed next week gonna toak to Hv though as he still can't sit unaided anyway ?

sorry no help am i

ok thanks for the help ladies, think will have to chalk this up as a design flaw then and not reccommend it to anyone.

maxi Cosy tobi for me then now!

Cheers for the number, ill give them a ring and see what they say just incase

I found a similar problem with the M&P car seat we had. Ellie was completely squashed in it if she was wearing a coat and as she was 6months old in winter she needed a coat. We then bought the Britax first class SI seat from Kiddicare, this one let us go rear facing until Ellie was well over 20lb and then we turned her around.
