Hello, I have a 5 month old son who I am curently trying to wean off the dummy as he wakes at least once an hour through most of the night through it. Tonight I am going to try PUPDCD and would like to know if anyone would like to join me in this and be my text buddy?

pick up put down cry down - so when baby crys pick up out of cot then when he stops you put him down and this can go on for ages but I have had enough of the dummy do I am goining to do it tonight. more info on babywhisperer site

really well - 2nd night with no dummy and no swaddle. has been very hard though - so proud of my ds x

still going well. He wakes once in the night for a feed then gets up about 0630hours. Yes I looked at the baby whisperer. I am now on night 5 of no dummy and no swaddle and ds is a different baby. I am so glad I did this. The first night was the hardest but now it is great. Anyone in the same boat as me last week - go for it! xx

No I did not follow babywhisperer advice as I wanted fast results. Little man slept through the night last night!!!

I could never do the PUPD technique, as I felt it confused LO's to much, but used CC with the same effects when ditching the dummy!! Worked a treat... never wakes up now. He was waking 4 times a night for that damn dummy!!

I did a bit of cc but checked on him at regular intervals the 1st night was hard but it got easier. I also got support from a sleep expert and paid for a 1 to 1 consultation - best money I spent!
