hiya I am thinking of having acupuncture treatments as I heard of so many good things about it. Has anyone got experience with it?

I had it for one cycle before ivf and then along side ivf. Didn't work for me, did help me feel super relaxed though xx

At least it helped with stress that would be very beneficial for me as I am always stressed about things especially TTC

Hi Maximus :)

Unfortunately I can't post links yet but there are 2 really good articles about Acupuncture on your pregnancy doctor from Dr Keith Duncan. Just type Acupuncture in the homepage search bar :)

Hope they help x

I've had it. Started in November and got pregnant at the end of December. 10wks now. Definitely worth a try. Goodluck.

I have tried acupuncture for fertility so thought I'd share my thoughts.

I went to one lady who was very nice and it felt good to offload but truthfully I don't think I got anything whatsoever out of the acupuncture. I had treatments over roughly 6 months but stopped going once I realised that I just wasn't getting any of the benefits I'd read about. In hindsight, I really should have stopped sooner.

As I'd read so many good things about acupuncture, I decided to give someone else a go as I found someone much closer to home that could offer appointments that fitted more easily around work. I've only had a few sessions but I do find his approach leaves me feeling more relaxed so I do feel like I'm at least getting something out of it this time. My period pain has been better but I'm not sure if that's just coincidence. I've decided to give it 3 cycles and if I'm not getting real improvements then I will likely stop altogether.

So as you can see, I've had a bit of a varied experience with it. I'd suggest giving it a go with an open mind if you want to try it. Truthfully though, I think the only thing I will get from it is stress relief and relaxation (not that that's a bad thing). I don't think it will get me pregnant.

Hope that helps.
