For Christmas me & my mum bought each other a night away at The Hilton in Manchester on 4th March. We will be having some pampering & eating out & shopping. Other than shoes, handbags & accessories I'll struggle with clothes. Is anyone from Manchester or near Manchester & know of any shops that sell decent maternity clothes??

Dunno about manchester but i got my maternity jeans from next and i love them, got into a smaller size too lol xx

Love Next! Got my maternity jeans & a couple of tops from there. I just wanted to go somewhere a bit different & try some clothes on. I know Dorothy Perkins, Top Shop, Debenhams & Next sell maternity stuff. But I was wondering if there were any specialist shops there so I could treat myself. I think I'll also need a maternity swimsuit - so need to shop for that too as I want to make use of the pool at the hotel too.

There used to be a Blooming Marvellous in Manchester city centre in the Royal Exchange Arcade but that was nearly 4 years ago and they did gorgeous stuff. May have been one in the Arndale too? I think Mothercare have bought them out now but they did have lovely stuff that fit beautifully. Pumpkin Patch do nice stuff, but only seen the Warrington store at Golden Square. Mamas and Papas at the Trafford Centre or at the Manchester Fort Retail Park. H&M in the Trafford Centre are good too xxx

not lived there for 4 years so cant think of any :(

Hi Hun, I live in manc and have been really annoyed by the lack of maternity clothes. The lovely shops don't stock them. The massive M&S had one crap rack when I went and trudged around for ages before giving up. The best I've found in manc is in the arndale. Enter from the triangle/Harvey nicks end to avoid the dross. You will find big next, top shop etc. Also the gap on st Anne's square is pretty decent. My best finds have been from Therapy in Kendals / House of Fraser (first floor) They are not maternity but have fab tops, v wide & floaty and lovely prints, about £25 and go great over long vests with leggings.
Nice places for lunch are Croma near Albert Square (pizza), Grinch nr Boots and Carluccios in spinning fields.
Have fun xx

Ps the White company on King Street is worth popping in as they have gorgeous baby stuff!

Thank you for all your information. I am soooo looking forward to my little break away & alcohol free cocktail at The Hilton!
