anyone had a sweep??

Hey! Going into hospital Mon morning for a scan (to check fluid) and a sweep. Just wondering if anybody's had one before and if they are that bad?? I said to the midwife 'is it horrendous?' And she said 'yeh, its horrid!'. Ewww.

They NEARLY induced me last night in hospital because of baby's high heart rate but it settled down so they decided not to. Argghhh! X

Crikey it sounds like us ladies are getting our money's worth from the nhs this weekend lol. I've got mine Monday too and I really am not looking forward to it now. Good luck hun, hope it's successful for you xxxxxxxxxx

I know, I thought that last night! Some people don't even see a hospital until they are in labour! Hospital's like my second home! I was told I would go early and I wouldn't reach my duedate and look at me now! Ha ha x

I had a sweep in early labour I dont think it was as bad as I expected dont worry it will be over quicker than you know it x

I had a sweep yesterday, and I can honestly say it was fine! It was certainly uncomfortable but not painful. I was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced and I got all excited thinking bubs was on their way. But the midwife brought me back down with a bump by saying that many women are at that stage weeks before labour

I was expecting it to be horrible as friends had said it really hurt and I didnt think it hurt at all. I just felt a little bit embarrassed!! (believe me after you have had the little one you will wonder why you ever felt embarrassed!!)
