Anyone else with previous second trimester loss due to preterm labour or weak cervix?

I am 40, I dont have any children, have had 5 losses one of which was 2nd trimester loss due to premature labour or cervical incompetence. I have just stepped into early pregnancy. Is there anyone else there like me so we could hand hold each other..what are your management plans for this pregnancy eg antibiotics etc.

This happened to my best friend, she had her little boy at 23+6, and although he fought for almost 7 weeks, he never made it. She had a cervical stitch put in at 14 weeks with her subsequent pregnancy, and had it taken out at 37 weeks. More or less as soon as her feet touched the floor she started feeling pressure and contractions. She went on to have 3 healthy daughters. I don't have the experience myself, although being as close to my friend as I am, I felt (and still share) a lot of her pain. I just wanted to let you know of the positive outcome that happened since. Good luck x
