Hi there,

Over the last few days I have been really really thirsty and was just wondering if anyone else felt the same at this stage?

I've been drinking pints and pints of water throughout the day and also when I wake in the night. Is this normal? I have a mw appointment on Thursday and don't want to seem stupid by mentioning it if it's a normal symptom...
Thanks!

Yep - well it better be normal otherwise I have the same problem!

I now have a constant supply of bottled water in the fridge as its lovely ice cold. Think I've had about 8 glasses already :D

Downside: Waking up more in the night now to pee  which is resulting in lack of sleep and grumpiness.

I know people say don't drink anything after 8pm to reduce the nighttime trips but I just can't I have to drink until I go to bed.

Just had another thought, tri ice pops. I've been munching them like crazy. :)

Glad it's not just me!

I'm spending half my life in the loo these days..... and whenever I get up to go I may as well just grab another glass of water while i'm up!

Maybe it's a craving?

Ohh ice pops.... now there's an idea.... I will add it to the shopping list for tomorrow!

Mini Calypso'a are ny fav at the moment - lemon and lime ones! :D

My other craving is salt popcorn (HATED the tuff pre-pregnancy) but it certainly doesn't help on the thirsty front!

I've been craving ice lollies, i've sent OH out twice now to get me an 8 pack of Fab's!

But I've also been really thirsty, I've been drinking tons of water plus fruit juices with water added but I get really angry when I need to get up 8 times in the night for the loo :wall:

It probably is just cos youre peeing alot but mention it to your midwife as being thirsty is also a sign of diabetes.
