Just wondering if anyone else has been put on this?

I'm on it due to previous miscarriages. I started using it last night and then again this morning. Was told to insert in the morning and lie down for 30 minutes.

I got up after 45 mins and felt awful! Fever, extreme sickness feeling (more than my usual morning sickness). It passed after another 30 mins, so I'm just wondering how long others have to wait?

It might be because it was my first day using - but not looking forward to that feeling for the next 5 weeks!!

Hey :)
Is it the pessary? I'm on that too but I don't lie down after inserting. It makes me feel quite rough though xxx

I've been on this for the last 5 weeks due to IVF.

I won't lie I hated it - really gave me horrendous stomach problems.

I inserted standing up. I assume your doing it vaginally?
xx

Yeah inserting it vaginally, were you told to lie down in the morning after inserting?

Just down my second morning and hoping I'll be able to get up in an hour or so!

I just hope it works

I used these as well, they didn't make me feel ill as such but I did feel slightly better when I stopped using them. You need to lie down for 30 minutes afterwards so the progesterone is absorbed because once the pessary melts it'll just run out of you if you're stood up. They are a pain to use xx

Maybe it's because i have to insert it rectally? I suppose it's less likely to leak. It does give me stomach issues too :/ xxx

I insered rectally.
So much easier and didn't have to lie down xx

Yeah that's true but the stomach issues are a pain too..
I didn't know you had to lie down if inserting vaginally.

Mel, did they tell u why they wanted u to do it rectally? Mine didn't give a reason but because of past miscarriages, i wondered if my consultant thought I'd freak out if it irritated my cervix and caused bleeding xxx
