Hello all, I found out I am expecting with my first early this week, We think I am about 4 weeks but until see midwife we can't be certain. These last few nights, I am awake on and off all night! I don't know why,but just wake up and I'm wide awake and just laying there! Could this be anything to do with hormone levels?

Thank you
Kayleigh

The hormones do mess with your sleep. I tend to sleep badly for a few nights early on and then switch to not wanting to do anything but sleep for a couple of weeks. I had sleep issues later in pregnancy too.

Me! I pee once or twice per night and then toss & turn for 1 - 1.5 hours. It's ridiculous seeing that I'm so exhausted so why cant I just sleep? luckily I dont have nausea at night but when I've been awake for a while it creeps back. Note to self: keep gingernut biccies on bedside table for midnight snack ;-)
xx

To start with I was exhausted and would go to bed early but then be up two three even four times either to pee or just be awake and it was the worst few weeks of my life - IM afraid to say i was 16 weeks before i started sleeping better I can still wake up in the night now at nearly 22 weeks sometimes to pee but mostly as my hips are sore from lying on the same side for too long - what I did was nap or rest when I could even taking to my car at lunchtime to recline the seat to rest my back and just chill xx

Hi all I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and I wake up 2-3tl times to pee then I toss and turn for maybe a 1.5 sometimes more. I'm also having really life like dreams which wake me. I also wake up with my boobs hurting more at night.

Well it's good to see that it's not only me! Let's just hope it gets a lot better for us all some time soon!
