Anyone any good with Apple Macs?

I have got one recently but dont really know much about what it can do at the mo

Im looking to create a Poster, is there an application thats good to use for that?

I use Macs.

If you're looking to create a poster, then it you can create one in anything from Microsoft Word through to high end products like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

A fairly good way of getting into Photoshop is Photoshop Elements which is probably the cheapest option for decent software.

as matt says, you can use anything from word to adobe... it depends what you want really

I was just looking to use something that was already installed onto the Mac. Like Microsoft Office is on Microsoft PCs rather than buying new software.

I do have the Office conversion on here so i may just use Word then if there isnt anything useful to use thats pre installed...

You could download Gimp.

www.gimp.org it is free software but very very similar to adobe photoshop. Don't worry it is legal and they have a version for the Mac, we use this instead of forking out for photoshop.

It may take a bit of a fiddle to get your head round but you can produce something pretty good with the software.

Macs don't come with anything like the pre-installed unfortunately. There is a demo of their "Pages" software which is part of their iWork package but I don't think that allows you to print documents.

If you have Office for Mac and don't need anything too fancy, then use that.
