I keep getting awful sharp pains just near my pubic bone but more 'inside' me. I'm assuming it's something to do with baby but don't know what!! Anyone else got same?? They are worse when I walk but do still get them when sat down!

just edited to add that I also have what I would describe as a dull pain in my lower back/sacrum area, this is worse when I sit down. Are these pains related do you think???

Could be baby engaging? I've had these since about 34 weeks and I think that's what it is...

Could be! I don't remember having them with my other pregnancies, but then again I don't remember a lot at the moment anyhow!!

I keep getting electric shock type pains up inside me too - especailly when I get up from sitting or bending.

The doc thinks it is normal - either baby pressing on nerves or general stretching. Pah, doesn't help the pain much!!

Yes I've had these too and I think its bubs head engaging, I never had them with Sean but he was never engaged.

If it is head engaging then best get a DIY rush on!! I'm still sleeping on sofa and don't fancy labour starting on there!! NOT comfy!!

Turning in bed HURTS real bad!!

Don't want to get my hopes up, but fingers crossed!!!

i have the same problem. it takes me 5 mins to get out of bed in the morning.
my midwife said it was more than likely a trapped nerve where baby may be engaging....im only 33 weeks + 5 days  !
my other 2 didnt engage before the birth though so iv not had this before. both of mine were induced due to pre-eclampsia which is creeping up again  so i may be another queue jumper (i had mine at 38 and 36 weeks).
i have cocodamol for the pain which eases the pain a treat once iv taken it for a bit but the relief doesnt last that long. (im not complaining though as any pain relief is a god send)
