Anybody else failed to ovulate on Clomid?

Hello,

Looking for a bit of support.

Due to having borderline progesterone my Consultant put me on Clomid. Initially they started me on 50 mg and I didn't ovulate at all. They then upped it to 100 mg on days 2-6, I had what seemed like another period on it 4 days after finishing my actual period. My day 12 scan showed no good size follicles and my day 21 bloods were rubbish.

I'm now to try metaformin on its own for 2 cycles to try and regulate my cycles, feel so yucky on it. Once two cycles are up to try metaformin and clomid again!!! Such a bloody frustrating process and reluctant to try clomid after strange bleed last time. Has anyone else had eventual luck with clomid after 2 failed cycles?

They've mentioned another drug called laprazole and don't know whether to ask for that rather than the clomid?

Any suggestions or experience would be great!

I didn't! Tried 50mg and 100mg. I'm on metformin too and clomid still didn't work. I was given letrozole instead and I ovulate on it and that's even just the lowest dose. I'd definitely ask for it x

Ah good to know. Fingers crossed they will allow me to. Did you have to try metaformin on its own first?

I was shocked how badly I responded to clomid, thought as my results on my own were borderline that clomid would give me the wee boost I needed!

I didnt ovulate with clomid either mg. i wasnt given metofirmin though just straight on ti letrazole. Sadly it dudnt work for me either. However it has been successful for a lot of people so I would ask to try ut.

I am on 50mg for borderline progesterone -day 21, I had my first cycle day 21 blood taken Friday so hope to get results tommorow and like you because I already ovulate on my own, expected deffinate ovulation on clomid,but started to wonder if I have.

Normally by now , 9dpo, I would have sore bb and I havnt just cramping, slighted bloated and very thirsty, don't know if this is a clomid side effect.

I didn't ovulate on Clomid or letrozole but I know letrozole seems to be the magic pill for lots of ladies so definitely see if you can push to try it x

I started Clomid in May 50mg 2-6 and ovulated the first two cycles, third cycle I failed to ovulate so dose was upped to 100mg 2-6 and I think I finally ovulated on cd20- thought it was abit late to ovulate on Clomid but had a dark dark opk cd19 and temp looks good so fx it's worked.

Thanks for the replies ladies. I'm on metaformin for next two cycles but def going to push for letrozole after that.

Least I'm not the only person to not ovulate with Clomid.


The metaformin makes me feel so sick which is not fun! It's all such a long and frustrating process.
