Any Yorkshire lasses got a good Parkin recipe?

I know there's loads on the web but I'm after a tried and tested one that will be sticky!! OH hates the drier type. :D

What is it though? I'm intrigued as well!! We have hotdogs on bonfire night! lol

we tend to just use a bit more golden syrup than it sugests....yeah i know its ment to be dark but dad doesnt like it dark so its more of a ginger parkin lol
 
I think I made somethng similar to that SS. I followed this recipe.

It wasn't at all sticky and was more like a ginger cake but I can highly recommend it. Was really easy to make, but tasted top notch and came out reall well. I had to top it with buttecream icing and crumbled flake though.

Will be making it again.
