I make these all the time :D
I use dairy milk as it is yummier
You can either break in to bits and out in large bowl and micro it, but you need to stir it every 20-30 secs otherwise it will burn and go bitter
Or you can break it into a glass bowl and put this over a large pan of boiling water stirring all the time

then just add cornflakes/crispies
put in bun cases and leave to set
If you do the Sat teatime they will be set fine for a party on sunady :D

mmmm sounds yummy and dead simple too!

do you use cornflakes or crispies - whats best?

thanks hun - got to do a scary jelly with bug sweets in it too  things i get roped into

I got a recipe off the internet last year for rice krispie cakes & my God were they solid, so solid I nearly broke several teeth trying to bite into one :rotfl:

I did some last week, they were gorgeous!!
I dont do measurements or recipes...but here goes.

1 medium size bar of milk choc, (or belgium)
1 small bar of dark choc
3 ish tablespoons of syrup
tablespoon of butter

melt the butter, add the choc, keep on low heat so it doesnt burn, keep stiring.
add the syrup.
Mix in cornflakes/crispies til they are all covered in mixture. put in fridge.

its lovely, and it does set hard, but also a bit fudgy. mmmmmmmm

I made some of these for Mason's halloween Party and I ALWAYS melt down our easter eggs for them every year.

I just use chocolate and rice crispies.
