I have a lovely Rhubarb and Custard sling, but am having a C-Section on Wednesday, so until I feel up to using it I need a sling for DH to carry baby in.
We arent getting a double buggy, so need another sling as mine wont fit him.

Just wondered if any one had used this one or similar, or could recommend a good one for blokes??

Oh well, that'll be a no then!

Hi, only just saw your post!

I've got a sling very similar to the one in the link - mine can also be used for babies over 5 months (sitting on your hip style).

I also had a c section and tbh it was at least a couple of months before i could even try to use the sling (achy pain around incision when using it).

Your baby may love this style of sling but my son didn't like it at all (apart from when i tried it with him in the shop! :wall: ). I think because he was a long baby, it kind of squidged him up. I use it now though, because he's old enough to use it to sit in, on my hip - so am getting some value for money now!!

A friend of mine had a very small baby, and she was very happy in it :)

Good luck with birth

Hugs
xx

I use a very similar looking sling for my 1 year old. I used it from birth and now still use it in the hip position. We have hardly ever used our pram actually.

The slings by premaxx are a bit more sporty-looking and might suit your OH more if he will be baby-wearing a lot. We have one of those too, my husband prefers it and they're pretty handy for when you're shopping as there is a pocket.

I have a freedom sling..

Now I've got the hang of it... I absolutely love the sling... :)

I got a freedom thrifty, but I am seriously considering buying another one :) I got a cheap one in case I didn't get on with it, but now I love it I might by a nice padded one..

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... ON#GALLERY I have this one.. but in black to match my clothes :cheer:

This is her shop on Ebay. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Freedom-Slings She's really quick and they are really really helpful.. :) They also do pouches like the one you have shown.. but for far cheaper than 30quid...

I hate these sling bags! They are bad!!! Yes i've tried them when i first started babywearing and knew a lot less than i do now, now i wouldnt touch them with a barge pole. A simple pouch is a lot safe than these things with huge folds of fabric and a draw string.
Honestly if you have to use one please please read this article about correct positioning, its so important. Or better yet buy a shallow pouch (same type of design even just without the massive pouch) so you can constantly observe your newborns position.

Thanks all. Ill read those links as soon as Melanie, (baby is here now!) thank you

I had a section and used a coorie pouch (brightspark slings). It was comfy and quite high up so it wasnt too near my c scar.
