What is your usual cycle length?

I have 24 day cycles so start testing CD7. (CD1 is 1st day of AF)

I would probably start testing around CD9ish - although that may be a little early, but some people do ovulate early so given it will be your first cycle with OPKs I would suggest covering all bases. If you have a standard 28 day cycle you will probably ovulate between day 13-15ish.

Should have added I start testing cd7 even though I normally ovulate on day 12 so maybe I am just addicted to weeing in sticks!
