Hiya,

I'm traveling on a long haul flight and wondered if any of you ladies had any advice or suggestions? I'll be 24 weeks when I fly and I'm worried it'll be a very long uncomfortable flight. My doctor has given me an injection 12 hrs before the flight to prevent any blood clots. Im not prone to blood clots nor do I have a family history but I do have high BMI so I said ok better safe than sorry. Any ways please let me know.

I'd suggest getting up as often as possible for a wander about the cabin - perhaps ask for extra leg room or bulkhead seats so you can stand up easily when you want to. Or upgrade to Prem economy or another class if you can! Drink plenty of water and eat light healthy meals - try and avoid the convenience foods that are full of salt and will dehydrate you.
You may want to try flight socks/ stockings and wear something comfy. I flew around the same time as you at 26 weeks and wore a maxi dress with cardi and scarf to keep warm on the plane.
Take lots to keep you entertained too or make the most of the time and sleep if you can.

I'd defo take a pillow of some sort for comfort, walk around a fair bit, drink loads of water, again flight socks, worth asking the crew if there are any spare seats in case you can get more room (though unlikely if school holidays) you won't be allowed to sit at an emergency exit being pregnant though some rows have more room.

Thanks ladies. Where do you get flight socks from?

Boots or some larger pharmacies sell them, or you can get them at most big airports

Thanks Hun I picked my flights up yesterday! Hope my flight goes smoothly!
