Hi everyone, I just found out on Tuesday that I’m almost 5 weeks pregnant, and I’m so anxious that something is going to go wrong :(anyone else feel like this? I’m having to resist the temptation to do pregnancy tests everyday just to check I’m still pregnant! Thanks :)

I think we all feel like that in the early days. I definitely did anyway. I used to just take it day by day, and be thankful everyday I went to bed and was still pregnant. Maybe have an early scan at 7 weeks, that really helped my anxiety because once they see a heartbeat and a baby measuring properly at 7 weeks there’s only a 5% chance of miscarriage. The anxiety will settle down as you get further along x

Thank you so much ☺️

We lost our first at 12weeks so we were very anxious to start with this time, although deep down I knew it was meant to be and had a good feeling. As above we had a viability scan at 8 weeks and that really did help.
The anxious feeling never really goes as things can happen no matter how far along you are (obviously the risk is less and less as time goes on), and then if the birth goes well etc but It's only the same as every day life, no matter what you do there's always a possibility of something happening.
But that's really just the start lol, as soon as they arrive you will be anxious of them breathing, being healthy, feeding enough, feeding too much, gaining the right weight, using the right products, worrying if you doing things correctly, developing and hitting milestones on time, pooping regularly and normally, weaning and the rest of it.
All I can suggest is to RELAX and enjoy it. There's no telling how things will go, what will be will be though mostly everything is just fine, and stressing about 'what if's ' won't help anything.
Take it as it comes, enjoy the pregnancy as it passes so quickly, and just try to think positively. Your pregnant right now which alone is a GOOD and positive thing as many never even get to that point, so just relax and let it happen :)
So on the whole and already being anxious, welcome to parenthood!!
(it's absolutely worth every second!!!)

Thank you so much and congratulations on your pregnancy! How many weeks are you now? I am feeling much calmer now and it’s so nice to hear that it’s not just me having these crazy moments of panic!

I am not currently pregnant, DS has his first birthday next week, Its gone sooo fast!! They really aren't babies long, he's already an energetic toddler running around the house (literally) and into everything he shouldn't be haha.
Hopefully we will be TTC DC2 towards the end of the year. I never wanted 2 originally but the experience has been so amazing and rewarding so far and DS is soo sweet and funny that I couldn't possibly say no to hubby who is already desperate for another lol.
Cherish every moment of pregnancy and the new born stage as it really does pass far too quickly, even though it might not feel like it at the time :)

Hiya, I found out last week I was over 6 weeks although I don't think I am even that. I have been spotting for the last 2 weeks plus! I am beside myself as I don't know if it's normal. Spoke to a doc and she said it's fine. And keep doing tests .. anybody else experience spotting for long period of time?
