antenatal class :) - water birth??

just thought id give a big thumbs up for the antenatal class we went to at the hospital last night, it was really good, informative and a good chance to talk to other pregnant ladies

a million and one times better than the breast feeding one a few weeks ago lol




now im considering going for a water birth....so anyone got any comments about having tried it etc?

Not tried it obviously lol but I'm planning on trying it if there's a pool available when I go in, the MW at my antenatal class made it sounds great lol! xxx

I gotta say it did look good but our hosp only had 3 rooms with birthing pools and they were like if they r busy u can't do nothing just gotta go where they put u ! Which must be annoying and upsetting if u have planned a water birth for ages! I thought it was cool that oh is allowed in pool with u ! I wouldn't have mine in with ne though he would driv me bonkers! Lol xx

yeah our hospital only has one pool, but out of our whole group there was only me and one other woman interested in actually using it (so 2 out of about 10 ladies)

im thinking that Im going to say id like to try it as it cant hurt to try
if when i get there its in use then ill have to just do something else

Did they mention birthing balls teampc? I knew loads of people use them before baby to get them in osition etc but I hadn't realised people used them in the hospital during labour lol! I would probably use it but I don't fancy rolling my big ball in to the hospital along with my holdall xxx

oh yeah they did mention it, said it can really help so good to have at home for the early stages and things
im going to go get one today i think

at this rate when i go into hospital im going to need a van to bring everything with me lol

i've loved bouncing on the ball! i bounced on it for ages one day and my bump totally changed, think baby must have got bounced about everywhere haha
