...how come we have to sterilise bottle and what not but not our nipples? Or am I supposed to e doing something to my nips before feeding Evie!

Just asked hubby this and now he is interested in what the answer is too! Lol x

I don't do anything special to my nipples :) I just don't wear perfume incase Isla is allergic xx

Well I guess because they don't get handled by germy hands. You should really keep on top of hand washing, bottles touch counter tops and peoples hands, which all give small babies tummy bugs that they aren't strong enough to fight like a 9 month old. Plus bottles go everywhere where as your nipples stay snuggled up in their bra :)

Nipples create an oil that cleans and protects the nipple.

Bottles r sterilised to prevent the formula milk becoming contaminated and a breeding ground for bacteria whereas breastmilk has no way of gettin contaminated unless expressed (which is y pumps etc r sterilised)

Lol - Good question!

I've never done anything to my nips :-) Like Esoames, I don't wear perfume. It's strong enough when people stand near me, let alone when resting on my hips!
