I have some family members on my FB, and part of the reason I don't update my status very often is I don't want my family knowing everything I speak about. Is there a way to block one person from seeing your wall, but letting them see everything else?

Can they see what you write on other people's walls?

Hiya

There is a way of stopping people from seeing your wall - and you can check what they can see on your profile, too. If you go into "settings - privacy settings" at the top of your profile page, on the right hand side, and go onto "News Feed and Wall" you can double check that nothing is ticked so when you post on someone's page, it won't show up in your news feed, which will help.

In "Profile" on the Privacy Settings, you can individually allow/unallow people to see whatever you want. i.e. stop someone from seeing your wall altogether but allowing them to see your photos , status etc. by customising your profile. Then check it by typing in the person's name in the same part of the site, and it will show how that person views your profile.

Hope that helps! I have lists for different people (restricted , private, only friends, only certain friends, only family) etc. and although it can be really time consuming, it does do the trick.

Thank you so much, it helps a lot!

No problem, Tonks. I'm a bit of a privacy-nut when it comes to things on line, and especially on Faceache. I have no family on mine AT all, which is handy, and certainly no inlaws either. Made THAT mistake with the BIL (who I adore) and never again.

Glad to have helped!

My cousin has 2 facebook accounts in her name ...shes a bit of a FB tart so family on one friends on other  I see her 'other though

BTW I customise groups - you can add more than one group setting to one person!

x group cannot see x thing/s
x group can see x thing/s

Wobbles, I'm with you. I have 15 different "groups" on my Facebook. And no one can "search" for me or add me or send me a message if I don't do it first...

Anti-social cow that I am, but honestly, I had someone ask me to put them on my Facebook, and I blatantly said "No, because I think you're a nosy cow". Put her on, restricted access...lo and behold - deleted  Didn't want her on there in the first place...I think the "No access to status, wall, messages, photos" might have triggered THAT though (do we have evil grin emoticons?!)

Privacy is scarce enough I think

(Rant mode - switched off  )

Haha

Mine is mostly my photos I don't mean to have a restruction but sometimes I can't figure out name to username and so many add me ... I have 4 groups
BnB (doesn't see most of my details, pictures & friends)
BabyandBumpers (Sees all but my mobile number unless grouped to it)
Sees my mobile number (People only see it if on the list)
Doesn't see my wall (extra setting for any person on my list)
No group - Sees all

Think I need an extra 2 groups for here now and poss another for my freebie/bargain buddies actually!

Ok, I *think* I've done it right! When I look and see what she can see, it's got my old wall posts but not the one I just made.

Sounds about right, hon! Although I do hate it when I go onto friends' pages and can't see anything...antisocial buggers

hehehehe

Thats our Nic, antisocial bugger

It's a joke!!!! :oooo:

 Nah, don't think so. I'm the antisocial moo (as I said before) I'm really, REALLY picky on my Facebook. I'm surprised some people stay on it, to be honest, have they not gotten the hint I don't trust them yet? With some, it's a question of "politics" that they're on there...but the nosy, gossipy ones have nothing to view. Such a pity.. ;o)
