another dose or miss a dose?

my daughter is on penicillin for an eye infection, we need to inject the liquid into her mouth with an oral srynge 4 times a day. the first dose she swallowed fine, but the second she spat most of it down her clothes. the thing is she did swallow some, but were not sure how much was swallowed and how much was spilled. do u think its better when this happens to give her another dose or just to miss that one out? too many doses might be harmful but missing them out could stop the antibiotics working altogether. what a conundrum!
in this instance we missed it out rather than giving her more. please tell me if this is wrong.

I would have done the same as you have Trix, as you say you couldn't be sure how much she had had, and how much she spat out and too much would be harmful.

As long as she finishes the whole lot(spills and spits included LOL) it will be fine
