another clearblue ov test question - sorry

I hav been using the ovulation test everyday since last Saturday. I suspected to be ovualting around Wed/Thur.

I got a smiley face on Friday so it was all systems go!!!

I tested today (I know you don't have to, but I had one left and was curious) and there is no happy face

I thought it would show positive for a few days. I wish I hadn't done the test today now, I am worried. Does anyone know what has happened?

You often only get one positive but keep BDing anyway for the next few days as you often ovulate 12-36h after the positive test

Hi ya...

I done an ovulation test on tuesday and it came up positive and after your posts i decided to do another one this morning to see what it says and its still positive, is this right or do you think that they are faulty or could i be preggers??

I posted this this morning in the symptoms bit..

Oh my god i feel so rough today, i would only be 1 week pregnant if i was which i very much doubt...surely its far to early to have any symtoms?

I went to bed with a really bad head ache last night and woke up with it again this morning and i made my sandwiches for work and before i left i threw up and now i'm sat here at my computer eye's watering because i feel like crap and think im going to be sick any second...

You hear of women knowing that they are pregnant as soon and they conceive but is that real or just in there head??

a friend of mine knew when she concieved on both her kids before she had it confirm. some women just know i guess. pity you have to wait b4 testing

How long does an ovulation test come up as positive? mine was positive on tuesday and again today!! very confussed....

It's normally only a 12-36 hr window - but you may have geared up to ovulate and then not actually ovulated - do you temp as well or monitor cp or cm? That'll probably back up what the ov test is telling you

You all talk about this window of opportunity ( i know nothing about TTC exceot the part where you have sex!) but when i set my ov calendar up it told me to start having sex 3 dasy before ovulation and one day after.
Worked for me

Sorry, I wasn't referring to the window in which sperm can survive in your body, but the window of when you get a positive OV. I should have been clearer

Thanks for this advice, has settled my mind somewhat. I haven't started monitoring temps etc yet as I didn't want TTC to become all consuming...I get obsessed far too easily, partly the reason I had to stop TTC for a bit and gain some perspective.

I will see how the next month or two go, if I don't get preggers, then I'll bring out the thermometer.
