I can't tell my work yet that im pregnant as i'd rather wait until my scan and know everything is ok. My problem is the owner of the company keeps walking around puffing his pipe everywhere and its revolting even more so now that i'm pregnant!!!! I don't know what i'm meant to do...

Problem is it's very hard to do that, he's the owner of the company and a grumpy old man, think he'd make my life hell if I did that......

I personally think you should tell him because it's your health that is important.
You're almost 12 weeks pregnant, worries tend to go at the 12 week mark so surely it's safe to tell your boss? Also it's confidential so he can't tell anyone. Make sure he knows that too. xx

I would also tell him and report him. Ive just had my risk assessment done at 9 weeks and anything to do with smoke inhalation is forbidden and illegal in the work place. I used to work in a warehouse where the boss used to smoke a pipe when he came in and I complained to his wife and he still did it so I rang ACAS and once Id done that and told them, he stopped doing it and would go outside. Its your health and babies you need to think of.

Yeah like the others said just tell him, the smoke isn't good for you and he has a duty of care. I had to tell my boss straight away last time I was pregnant as my job was just far too hazardous, they have to keep it confidential as well so nobody else need find out til your ready.
