Have you all planned how you're doing the big announcement at 12 weeks? Or maybe some aren't telling until later?

I love this idea!! Our little ones are very excited so we are going to use them. We had them holiding a picture of one of my early scans and gave that to my mil. (At the moment it's just her and my dad that know) we were thinking of having big brother and sister tshirts made and the fourth tshirt just having a due date on it held by the youngest and then sending the photo to family.

That's very cute.

I'm not doing an announcement as such, but that's because I have a few friends going through ivf and it close to breaks them when they see things like this on fb.

I'll just be telling people when I see them.

We've just started telling people in the last week (apart from our immediate family who already knew).

We have literally just told people when we saw them or over a text if they live further away because we don't want to put it all over Facebook - just a personal decision.

However, we did give personalised cards to my family and then gave my in-laws a framed picture of the early scan. It was lovely!

I'm just over 17 weeks and we haven't 'announced' yet. This was an ivf baby and we've just felt so cautious until now. We're on holiday in Lanzarote at the moment, this is where we first met 13 years ago and where we came on honeymoon so we thought it would be fitting if we done a little beach announcement while we're here. If it works out I'll post the pic there's some gorgeous ideas on Pinterest, I love the shoe and date one xxx

I have been looking at announcement ideas on pinterest also! There are so many cute ones!
I am only about 8 weeks so I wouldn't do a Facebook announcement until around maybe 20 weeks, even if that as I'm quite shy. Although DH is keen to do some sort of fun announcement, he races motorbikes so of course he has lots of ideas involving that!
We haven't told our friends, only close family. Although I did get my sister and brother in law a card that said 'you're going to be babysitters......em I mean you're going to be an auntie and uncle!'

oh I love that idea.... we don't own any shoes of the same brand though so it might be an expensive investment to buy 3 pairs of shoes the same haha

We are going to tell our family face to face once we have had the dating scan at 12 weeks but I would like to think of a fun way to tell them like or DD wearing a tshirt saying 'I'm going to be a big sister' or similar

Did mine weeks ago. After 8 years of trying it was a shock enough for most. Plus my mum guessed and she is terrible at keeping secrets.

I didnt announce mine until later on in pregnancy second time round. First time I just blurted it out any old way. This time we made little boxes up for my parents and in-laws which my son gave over after the scan around 14w.

We then announced to everyone after 20w scan with a video of my son announcing his brother was coming - He told us it was a boy during the sexing scan so was good to include him.

Twas the fastest pregnancy ever!
