Angelcare monitor help

I have the angelcare sensor pad plus monitor. This may be a dumb question but can I use the monitor without the sensor pad? Or does it only work with the pad? If I can how do I get it to work? I've tried to unplug the pad from the monitor with the light but it starts to beep straight away when I turn it on.

I only want to know this as today Ralph took his first nap in his cot and usually we have the pad on at night in his basket but thought during the day if he is napping in the cot I wouldn't need it as I'll be doing things around the house and prob checking in on him every 5 min lol xx

I dont know how to do it cos i dont have one but i know it can be done cos i was looking at getting on before and that was one of the things i wanted

Is there a button to turn off the mat?

Yep u can use the monitor without the sensor pad...unplug the sensor pad from the nursery unit and using the parent unit, u need to change the settings to 'don't detect movement' (something like that) to do this, u can find the instructions in your handbook...hope that helps!

Yes, you have to change the settings on the parent unit - so that only the mouth symbol shows and not the movement one. X
