My LO has had one small spot of nappy rash for about a week that no amount of sudacrem seems to be able to sort out... I think it is because...

her first peg poked through yesterday!!!

but she's got a nasty cough and cold and is miserable and can't sleep, which means I feel miserable and won't get any sleep either!

Sorry- just sharing the good and bad news! Advice on how you dealt with nappy rash and coughs/colds would be appreciated though...It's possible I haven't tried everything yet!

Ryan hasnt got any teeth yet, but hes a bit sniffly and sleeping really rubbish at the moment so maybe he may have one on the way to!!

everytime willow cut a tooth or a couple of teeth she she had a cough and cold and a bad nappy rash, sudocream did nothing for the rash so i brough metinuim and it cleared it up in a day or so you could also try bepanham (sp) they are thicker stronger nappy rash creams. as for the cold if you Lo is anything like willow expect it to last a week and come everytime they get a tooth

Im glad willow is nearly done now for teeth only 4 to go.

Thanks for your replies- sorry I've been so long in responding- tonight is the first night in ages I've had the PC on!

Metanium is exactly what the health visitor recommended-it has done the trick more or less but it still looks as if a day without any barrier cream would be all it would take for the rash to come back so I'm going to keep using it for a while yet!
