Amniocentesis - can anyone recommend a good doctor please?

Hi ladies,

I have just recieved my combined test results which were 1:220 chance for a baby with DS. Although I am still considered 'low risk' I will probably want to do an Amnio test because I feel I MUST know for sure so I am able to prepare for what ever...

Has anyone done this test in London and can recommend a good doctot to do this?

I havent had one privatly me and my OH were advised by the staff at Glasgow Southern General to have one done as our baby hadnt been growing properly and was really small at the 20 week scan and they thought that she might have had Pacauds syndrome or Edwards sydrome both which are very rare chromosome problems and she either wouldnt have survived in the womb or would have died very soon after birth and had very severe birth defects

have you had an amnio test done before x

oh I was something like 1 in 170 for down sydrome before we found out the baby wasnt growing then we had the amnio done and the results were clear also there is a chance of miscarriage and early labour with an amnio too xx
