Am I going to miss my chance this month..?

My last couple of cycles have been a bit off, I was 28 days for months then suddenly 31 then 29, so I'm not 100% sure when to expect my period this month. I'm on CD13 and I've had ewcm since Sunday. I think I'll ovulate Friday but that's just my guess. My problem is my husband is away until late Saturday night. So I think I already know I'm out this month. I've just started bbt this month, from CD2. I'll attach my chart so far to see if anyone can work out when I may ov, although I know everyone is different x

You could still ovulate on saturday. It's definitely worth dtd. x

We will still, but I can't help thinking it's just too late. I wouldn't usually ov so long after getting ewcm, but I'll still try

Does this look like I ovulated yesterday?
I'm not going to be able to dtd until 11ish tonight, if I ovulated yesterday I have no chance of catching the egg tonight do I. I feel so frustrated that it's going to be missed by 1 day! X

It could be yesterday but studies have shown that some women actually ovulate the day the temp goes up and the day after the ewcm...so you don't know for sure. I find it helps a bit to do opks as it's another piece of the puzzle. Definitley dtd tonight because if you ovulated early this morning or late last night you could still get pregnant.

I know how frustrating it is feeling like you've missed a month....that happens to us a lot! I get really angry and despairing, but I think it's still possible you could have ov within 24 hrs of tonight. fingers crossed.

I had some ewcm this morning which prompted me to check my cp, it was still show but then shortly after when I checked in the shower it didn't seem as open so I don't know. I can but try and see what happens! X

I think you just have to give it your best shot despite the obstacles. I think I may be in a similar position next month (assuming this month is not my month, I can hope!) as I'm going to visit family without OH and I think the timing might fall over the peak days. As frustrating as it is, we will just need to do our best and work with what we have. Good luck!!

Same here ! OH is going to be away with work next cycle right over what I think will be the 5 days around ov. boo

It's so frustrating when you know there's just nothing you can do about it. I'm also getting my polyp removed in the week up to ovulation so I might not even be up to it My plan is to dtd just before I leave and hope for the best. Anything else is a bonus.

It's interesting to hear other people are also having obstacles. I always think I'm the only one having obstacles and everyone else is managing to dtd on time every month. We've had lots of months with health issues or other things in the way. It's so frustrating. Good luck with your operation Moomingirl. x

Thanks Sunflower. I was lucky that the date they offered me was at the right point in my cycle. A bit like with HSG they need to be absolutely sure I'm not pregnant. So I'm trying to look at it as if we haven't done it this month then at least the polyp will be gone.

We try to stay on track with dtd at the right times but sometimes it's just impossible. We're also really lucky that we both work regular hours. It must be so much harder for couples with very different work schedules.

Yes, anything that moves you forward in terms of your chances is a step in the right direction. We've had to spend a lot of time on our health and it's meant we've missed a lot of months but hopefully we are now in a better position healthwise. It seems its normal to occasionally miss a month for whatever reason.
